From Idea to Elopement in 7 Days: A High-Concept Styled Wedding Shoot

When I say we pulled this together fast—I mean seven days fast.
One minute I was photographing an anniversary celebration and casually dropped the idea of a 420-themed styled shoot... the next thing I knew, we had a venue, a vendor team, a couple in love, and a deadline that felt equal parts exciting and absolutely unhinged.
And somehow? It all came together—beautifully, legally, and way better than I ever imagined.
This wasn’t just a vibe. This was a vision.Curated florals, a full hemp bar, late-night munchies, ambient light shows, and a couple who trusted the process so much they actually eloped on-site. All 100% legal in Tennessee thanks to Hemp House Chattanooga, and hosted at the stunning Moser Manor Farms.
Whether you're planning your own creative elopement or just want to see how wildly cool a 420-themed wedding can look—this one’s for you.
How It Started (and Why It Had to Be Fast)
This whole thing started with a casual convo while I was photographing an anniversary party for Nicole Frazier of Trilogy Design Group at Moser Manor Farms. I mentioned this slightly wild 420 elopement idea I’d been dreaming about for years—and instead of laughing me off, they said, “Let’s do it.”
The catch? We had less than a week to make it happen.
Moser Manor said yes to the venue. Nicole said yes to the florals. I said yes to panic-mode planning. And just like that, the countdown was on.
I called in favors, rallied my most creative vendor friends, and somehow we pulled together a fully styled shoot—including a real elopement, a hemp bar, cake, charcuterie, and everything in between—in just seven days. It still feels like magic.
High Vibes and Wedding Details
Hemp House Chattanooga came through big time—stocking us with a curated selection of fully legal hemp products to sip, smoke, and snack on throughout the shoot.
I’ve photographed at Moser Manor Farms several times now, and every single time, it feels like the setting is evolving—like something new is blooming just for us.
From the open gardens to the tree swings to the goats (yes, actual goats), it’s immersive, intentional, and full of unexpected moments—exactly the kind of space you want when planning something a little offbeat and wildly beautiful.
During golden hour, the light felt cinematic. One shot of Myryah’s face, lit perfectly in the garden, immediately landed in my “forever favorites” folder. Magic like that doesn’t happen in just any venue.

I was lucky to have one of my go-to second photographers, Carly from Wild Wren Photography, on site for this shoot. Having her there meant we could capture multiple angles of every moment—from soft garden light to the hemp lounge vibes—without missing a beat.
Our styles complement each other so seamlessly, you’d think we storyboarded it in advance. (We didn’t. We were just that in sync.) This shoot is actually what inspired me to start drafting a client guide about the power of having a second shooter—because when it’s done right, the results speak for themselves.
Nicole from Trilogy Design Group has this incredible ability to take my wildest, most half-baked ideas and turn them into pure art. I gave her a loose vibe—“elevated 420, hemp but make it pretty”—and she delivered a showstopper.
The bouquet she created on the spot was a dreamy blend of exotic blooms and layered greens, with hemp elements woven in so naturally you’d swear it was always meant to be there. It was bold, beautiful, and perfectly on theme.
And let’s be honest—what would a 420 shoot be without a little indulgence?
We made sure to enjoy the curated goodies from Hemp House throughout the day, because it wouldn’t be authentic if we didn’t fully lean into the vibe. (All 100% legal, of course.)
The arbors at Moser Manor Farms are truly something special—already a favorite ceremony spot for couples, and for good reason. The wisteria has fully settled in now, creating the kind of fairytale backdrop that makes you want to say “I do” and take a million photos.
For this shoot? It doubled perfectly as a dreamy little smoke lounge for our couple. Effortless, elegant, and totally on vibe.
One thing I always tell my media team? Not every photo needs to be perfectly posed—just keep your eyes open for the moments. In short: notice.
Big love to my second shooter Carly for doing exactly that. She caught this quiet little hold between Chris and Myryah that just melted me. Total swoon.

Moser Manor Farms is one of those places that just feels like a getaway. From tree swings to the on-site goat farm (yes, really), it creates a fully immersive experience—just 20 minutes from downtown Chattanooga.
Every time I visit, something new is in bloom, and this time? A tree was shedding petals like confetti, inviting us to lie down, watch the clouds… and, naturally, make a few of our own.
After all the walking (and, let’s be honest, weed), a snack break was absolutely necessary.
Charcateerie came through with the most perfectly curated munchies, and Sweet Angel Cakes had the dessert game locked down. Grazing + grazing? Say less.
But then… the edibles kicked in.
And let’s just say the energy shifted—in the best possible way.
A brief pause for a groom detail before the party really got started…
Let’s just say, he came prepared to set the vibe—for himself and his bride.

What started as an intimate reception for two?
Yeah… it turned into a full-blown party.
The lights, the energy, the laughter—it was everything we hoped it would be. We wanted you to feel like you were right there with them… so enjoy the light show.
An Elopement with a 420 Twist
To close it all out, a seated activity felt... necessary.
Big thanks to Puff Puff Pass for the perfect wind-down moment to wrap the most elevated shoot I’ve ever pulled off.
Vendors Who Brought It to Life
This shoot was a literal dream come true.
What started as a wild idea came to life with the help of some of the most talented, creative, and down-for-anything people I know. I teared up putting this blog together—not just because of the photos, but because of the collaboration and trust that made it all happen.
So… what do you think of our elevated 420 elopement experience? Would you do something like this for your own big day? If the answer is “absolutely”—here’s the dream team that pulled this together in under a week.
