One of the things that has been invaluable to me, in any industry I have worked, is encouragement from my peers. Being a solo creative entrepreneur, I sought to create an environment where I could teach AND learn alongside others. And that is why I absolutely love

What is a Styled Shoot?
During a styled shoot, wedding professionals and models get together and create a pretend wedding. Photographers and videographers buy tickets and come to snap pictures and take videos.
Styled Shoots are for NOT just for new photographers! Both new and experienced photographers attend styled shoots! Many seasoned photographers will attend shoots as a no pressure way to have fun being creative while others may choose to attend to work with a specific vendor. I personally try to attend a couple of shoots each year that other photographer hosts.
Why attend a Styled Shoot?
Styled Shoots are a great way to connect with vendors. Often, vendors will use images from shoots that photographers share with them. and that gets free advertising and potential referrals from new clients for you!
Additionally, through hosting styled shoots, I have come to find second shooters, new friends, and even some mentors for myself along the way.
In sum, styled shoots can be a wonderful way to grow your skills AND advance your own photography business!
